Exe Valley Eggs is helping to raise funds for the Lullaby Trust, the charity that battles the impact of sudden infant death.
We became involved after being asked to support a Charity Ball in aid of the organisation which offers support to bereaved families, works to reduce the risks to babies and funds research into the causes. As many as five babies a week still fall victim to sudden infant death despite the fall in numbers which has followed increased awareness of the condition which was formerly known as cot death.
The fund raising ball – at the Plymouth Aquarium on November 21st – is being organised by Morgan Malwah, a naval nurse whose own family has been hit by a sudden infant death tragedy. Malwah told us: “ I am holding this ball in memory of one of my beautiful twin nephews, Arlo Elijah Wood, who tragically died in his sleep on the 17th of December 2013 at 5 months and 3 weeks old. The Lullaby Trust has been there to support my sister and the family through this devastating time and I relish the opportunity to give something back and help ensure that they can continue with their great work.”
We are donating a year’s supply of Exe Valley Eggs which will be auctioned at the Ball.
